Due to the earliest possible occurrence of a bandworm infection in the newborn dog after the third week of life, the treatment with Vermis -Ex after diagnosis of a mixed infection is only indicated after the third week of life.
Contraindications
Do not use in pregnant bitches until day 39.
Do not use in pregnant cats.
Do not use in animals that are used for the production of food.
pecial precautions for use in animals:
Resistance of the parasites to a particular class of antiparasitics can be caused by frequent and repeated administration of antiparasitics of this class.
Store drug out of reach of children. Do not use after the end of the expiration date.
In the case of echinococcosis special guidelines must be observed with regard to the treatment, the necessary follow-up checks and the personal protection. For this purpose, specialized veterinarians or institutes for parasitology should be consulted.
The dose is 5 mg of praziquantel and 50 mg of fenbendazole per kg of body weight. One tablet contains the dose for 10 kg of body weight. This results in the following dosage scheme:
